German government reinstates border controls

After weeks in which the German government used the fact that they allowed refugees to enter the country and apply for asylum (which is, of course, everyone’s constitutionally guaranteed right) to portrait itself as a beacon of humanitarian morality, they now have mobilized the federal police forces via an emergency procedure and will tonight reinstate border controls – after further limiting asylum seeker’s rights earlier this summer. Of course, this is fully supported by the German Social Democratic Party (SPD).

This effectively makes it impossible for any refugees to enter Germany and take advantage of the asylum procedure.
