Get rid of annoying EU cookie notices

Instead of enforcing measures that really enforce users’ privacy, the EU has famously adopted the so-called “Cookie Directive” that forces most websites to show annoying banners to users informing them about the fact that they use HTTP cookies.

Thanks to a new project called “prebake”, you can now configure your browser to no longer show you these notices. The simplest way to do this in Firefox is to install the extension uBlock Origin (which also blocks advertising and uses less memory and CPU power than the “AdBlock” extensions) and activate the relevant options in the settings. For other browsers and ad-blocking extensions, see the prebake web site.
